About us

The Department of Process Analytics and Cereal Science examines and develops methods and techniques for process supervision and automatization of food and biotechnological processes – focusing on cereal technology.

Knowledge of the conditions for these complex processes (interaction of physical, chemical and microbiological parameters) is used to automatize processes based on future-oriented process analysis.

The Cereal Technical Center of the department is ideally equipped to combine basic and application-oriented research. Close cooperation with industry is desired so that knowledge produced at the University can be utilized for the development and establishment of innovative products. To that end, processes characterized by efficient energy and resource usage as well as high product quality are developed and optimized.
